WHAT IS THE DEEP RIVER FARMS SUMMER CSA EXPERIENCE?
At Deep River Farms, we are cultivating and redefining what it means for our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shareholders to be part of our local summer organic farming experience. We believe in family farming, as all of our produce in our CSA program is locally and organically grown on site at our farm in Deep River, Connecticut. Every week, please enjoy picking up your CSA in our rustic, hand-crafted wooden boxes containing our organically grown produce, which is always freshly washed with our completely gentrified antique wooden vegetable washer. New this year to our program is our PYO (pick-your-own) option for cherry tomatoes, green beans, peas, hot peppers, and organic flowers. We invite our CSA Members to “Go Organic!” by promising to use only cellulose-film bags for our organic produce, which may be disposed of through an organic recycling practice known as composting.
We welcome all who would like to enjoy and create their own organic summer experience at Deep River Farms and hope that you look forward to our 2017 Summer CSA season!
OUR CSA PROGRAM FOR 2017
We are excited to announce the opening of Registration for our 2017 Summer Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Program. Due to the growing interest in our organic CSA program, we are happy to announce that we are expanding our 2017 Summer CSA Program to include both full shares and half shares as a part of our offerings for this year. These shares will be available on a first-come basis, so please don’t be shy about signing up early. We are looking forward to getting ready for our second annual Summer CSA Program at our organic farm and believe strongly in the importance of fresh, organic, locally grown vegetables.
New Half Shares! A Deep River Farms vegetable half share for our 2017 Summer CSA program is $300 per half share.
